The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Edward Ajogun, has been redeployed.
His redeployment is coming on the heels of a spike in criminal activities and rising ethnic tension in Ogun State in recent times.
A police wireless message dated 12/02/2021, with reference number, TH.5361/FS/FHQ/ABJ/SUB.4/576 announced the redeployment of nine commissioners of police including Ajogun.
The signal indicated that Ajogun is to report at the Police Staff College (PSC) Jos with immediate effect.
No replacement has been named for Ajogun yet.
Ajogun was deployed to Ogun State in June 2020. He took over from Kenneth Ebrimson, who retired from the force.
