Louis Vuitton has been mocked for selling a jumper for £5,800 – that is covered with puppets and crocheted toys.
The posh designer label boasts the jumper “showcases the playful puppets that are a major theme this season. ”
It added that it is “exclusively made-to-order.”
But the brand was accused of “taking the p***” on social media, where lots of unimpressed people shared their opinion.
The knitted jumper is covered in 14 crocheted toys, including a green frog, a black and white panda and grey octopus.
Lots of unimpressed shoppers felt like they were having the wool pulled over their eyes after spotting the eye-watering £5,800 price tag.
But one thrifty person joked: “At last a use for your old teddies.”
Another quipped: “They say Covid is responsible for loss of taste and so…”
A third bluntly replied: “This is the world’s ugliest sweater. Was the designer blind?”
A fourth added: “Even the model looks unhappy. Is there not enough going on in 2021 without lumbering us with this?
“I know the charity shops are closed but the tip is still open!”
Meanwhile, the divisive garment seems to have won at least one fan.
One woman tweeted: “‘I LOVE it!! So unique. And never be lost without a soft toy.
“Never be lonely ever again!”
