A 32-year-old woman, Loveth Helen Alo, has been arraigned before the Enugu North Magisterial District Court for allegedly making fraudulent claims of owning a five-bedroom duplex in the WTC Estate, Enugu.

The Enugu State Police Command spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, stated on Tuesday that detectives from the Legal Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department arrested Alo on February 1, 2025, following a petition that she falsely claimed ownership of the property.

Alo had publicly declared during a testimony at the Zion Prayer Ministry Movement Outreach in Lagos that God had blessed her with the acquisition of the luxurious duplex.

However, during police interrogation, she reportedly confessed to fabricating the claim and admitted to acting alone.

Ndukwe explained that Alo was charged with five counts, including obtaining by false pretence with intent to defraud, defamation of character, and attempting to commit a felony by trying to sell the property fraudulently.

She was granted bail, and the court adjourned the case to April 9, 2025, for further hearings.
