British TikToker Claire Chadwick dies of sepsis in Nigeria
Her Nigerian husband, Ibrahim, devastated

A 40-year-old British woman, Claire Chadwick, who relocated from Cardiff, Wales, to live in Nigeria with her husband, Ibrahim, has tragically passed away alongside her unborn baby girl following severe pregnancy complications.
The couple had amassed a loyal online following on TikTok and Instagram through their joint channel, “Ibrahim and Claire,” where they regularly documented their cross-cultural relationship, daily life in Nigeria, faith, and local food challenges.
According to reports, Claire was 37 weeks pregnant when her unborn daughter died in the womb. She subsequently developed sepsis and succumbed to septic shock on October 30, 2026, while receiving emergency treatment.
Following the tragic loss, Claire’s sister, Shannon, launched a GoFundMe campaign titled “Bringing Claire home” to raise £10,000 to cover legal, logistical, and repatriation costs required to fly Claire and her baby daughter 3,000 miles back home to South Wales.
Driven by an outpouring of support from well-wishers and online supporters, the fundraiser quickly surpassed its target, securing over £10,400.
Shannon expressed immense gratitude to donors and acknowledged the support of REST, a UK charity assisting families navigating sudden deaths abroad.
Described by her family as a fiercely strong-minded woman who lived life on her own terms, Claire is survived by her 19-year-old son residing in Wales, her husband Ibrahim, and her extended family.
