Conflicting reports have flooded social media regarding the health status of popular Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, better known as Toluwanisings.

Close friends and fellow industry figures refute reports of his death and clarified that he is battling for his life in the hospital.

The panic began following unverified online reports and social media statements suggesting the artist had passed away after reportedly slumping.

However, close associates, including fellow singer Lanre and comedian Woli Agba, have stepped forward to push back against the panic, urging fans to withhold final conclusions and continue praying for a miracle.

Close associates push back against unverified reports

As grief-stricken posts began circulating online—prompted in part by social media remarks from public figures like lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi—close friends rushed to correct the narrative.

Fellow artist Lanre strongly refuted the death announcements, confirming to concerned supporters that the singer is alive, currently hospitalised, and undergoing medical care.

Similarly, comedian Woli Agba appealed to fans via social media to stop sharing unverified updates, writing:

“Please hold on. Please don’t conclude. We are trusting God. Please.”

Other gospel artists, including Boyebest, echoed these sentiments, expressing strong faith and calling on the public to focus on prayers rather than speculative announcements.

Eyewitness accounts and prior health history

Speculation was initially fueled by eyewitness accounts on social media describing an emotional scene at a hospital where a well-known gospel figure was rushed in critical condition.

Fans have also recalled that the singer and members of his musical crew survived a severe vehicular accident involving a trailer just three months ago, adding to the intense anxiety surrounding his current health scare.

As of press time, family members and official management have yet to release a formal medical bulletin, but friends and associates maintain that Toluwanisings is alive and fighting through his medical emergency.
