A former Baltimore County paramedic has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to secretly contaminating his colleagues’ food with bodily fluids and recording the incidents on video.
Christopher Carroll, 36, received his sentence following a guilty plea entered in August to three counts of causing another individual to ingest bodily fluids.
Details of the conviction and court proceedings
The sentencing follows a months-long law enforcement investigation into Carroll’s actions on county property. During the proceedings, prosecutors presented video evidence documenting the acts.
Baltimore County Assistant State’s Attorney Logan Frye confirmed that the footage depicted Carroll surreptitiously contaminating food items consumed by fellow emergency medical services staff without their knowledge or consent.
Plea agreement: Under the terms of the deal with prosecutors, Carroll admitted guilt to three primary counts of bodily fluid contamination.
Dismissed charges: In exchange for the plea, authorities dismissed 17 additional charges related to misconduct, as well as three counts of malicious destruction of property.
Final sentence: The court ordered a total prison term of 25 years for the offences.
The actual acts and motive
Carroll filmed himself masturbating into a communal bottle of coffee creamer before placing it back in the shared refrigerator.
He also ejaculated on his female supervisor’s keyboard among other equipment.
Court records revealed that the contamination went far beyond targeted food items, extending to shared firehouse appliances, communal coffee creamers, air conditioning vents, and workstation equipment.
Investigation showed that Carroll’s actions were driven by financial gain. He filmed 64 separate incidents and uploaded the recordings to subscription-based adult websites and social media platforms, charging online followers $7 a month to view the content.
The scheme ultimately collapsed when firefighters discovered the videos online and recognised Carroll’s official work uniform, digital handle, and a distinctive tattoo visible in the footage. Carroll, who had no prior criminal record, surrendered to police shortly after his identification, leading to his conviction and 25-year prison sentence.
