A woman identified as Achungo Nyar Essy has shared her grief online after losing her newborn son shortly after delivery, following a 15-year battle with infertility.

The mother gave birth to her son, named Jibriell Kamau, at 11:46 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. However, the infant passed away hours later.

Social media post draws widespread sympathy

Achungo shared her heartbreak in a public post on Facebook, reflecting on her long journey toward motherhood and her refusal to lose faith.

Key highlights from her tribute include:

Refusal to question faith: “I gave birth today 23rd September at 11:46 am, and my child died,” she wrote. “Today I won’t question God. I will just cry and say… It is well.”

Reflections on long wait: “For 15 years I was barren, you came and my world knew Jesus is still a miracle worker,” she added. “I don’t know why you left as soon as you came, but God has the answers my prince.”

Emotional toll: Describing the loss as leaving behind “a scar, pain, and sorrow,” she asked her late sister to look after her son.
