The Anambra State Police Command has taken a 36-year-old woman, Anulika Onyeanusia, into custody following allegations of child abuse and the creation of explicit online content involving minors in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The arrest occurred after law enforcement authorities obtained disturbing digital evidence depicting the suspect allegedly exploiting a minor to generate paid adult content online.
Police raid leads to rescue of minors and evidence seizure
Confirming the arrest in an official briefing, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed that a targeted police operation resulted in the rescue of four young children aged 2, 3, 6, and 9 years.
Detectives also recovered adult items and digital evidence relevant to the ongoing criminal investigation.
The suspect is currently held in police custody as investigators trace the distribution channels of the content and identify potential accomplices. Authorities are also interrogating the suspect’s husband to ascertain any involvement or knowledge of the illicit activity.
While the suspect claimed in preliminary statements that the videos in question were artificially generated using AI, the State Command confirmed that forensic analysis is being conducted on all seized devices.

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, condemned the alleged acts, characterizing the abuse as unacceptable exploitation of vulnerable minors.
CP Ama directed a thorough investigation into the network while ensuring that the four rescued children were immediately placed under professional care, medical evaluation, and child protection services.
