A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to call out a UK-based Nigerian man named Uche, accusing him of hiding his marital status and misrepresenting his background throughout their one-year relationship.
In a series of posts shared online, the lady announced plans to publish a detailed five-part narrative recounting her experience, claiming she was entirely unaware that he was married while they were dating.
Accusations of deception and immigration status loss
The woman revealed that she decided to speak publicly after learning that Uche’s former wife had filed for divorce and removed him as a dependent from her United Kingdom visa, leading to his deportation back to Nigeria.
According to her account, Uche falsely portrayed himself on social media as a British-born citizen enjoying a lavish lifestyle. She alleged that his lifestyle and overseas travel were funded by his ex-wife, whom she described as holding dual American and British citizenship.
“Holiday wey your wife use her money pay for, you get mind say you wish I came with you,” she wrote in her social media post, criticizing him for inviting her on trips financed by his spouse.
She further claimed that Uche engaged in systemic deceit with multiple women by fabricating his identity, marital status, and financial standing, describing his actions as calculated manipulation.

Under United Kingdom immigration regulations, foreign nationals residing in the UK on a spousal or partner visa rely on their partner’s immigration status or citizenship for legal residency.
If the relationship breaks down or ends in divorce, the primary visa holder is obligated to notify the UK Home Office.
Consequently, the dependent partner’s leave to remain is typically curtailed, requiring them to secure an independent visa route or return to their home country.
