‘He’s not fit to travel’, Ogogo’s daughter explains why they’re seeking local treatment for him

Kira Taiwo, daughter of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan (popularly known as Ogogo), has clarified that her father cannot be flown abroad for medical care because he is currently not fit to travel, despite having secured a visa to India.
The update follows earlier online appeals by the family seeking medical facilities or specialists willing to take on the 66-year-old actor’s stage-four cancer case.
Ongoing financial support for Ogogo
In a recent social media statement, Kira explained that while arrangements and documentation for international medical travel were processed, Ogogo’s current physical condition prevents him from enduring long-distance travel.
She reiterated that the family’s plea is not a request for financial donations, noting that political figure Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) has continued to sponsor the actor’s medical bills.
“If you have anyone that can help us, please. Senator Adeola Yayi is ready, and he’s been the one supporting us financially. All we need is someone that can treat him,” she stated.
Previous health struggles
The recent diagnosis comes after years of underlying health challenges for the veteran movie star.
Ogogo previously revealed in past interviews that he endured a severe seven-year struggle with chronic ulcers, during which he experienced drastic weight loss, severe dietary restrictions, and physical pain that altered his daily routine.
