Following a decisive victory in the August 15 Osun State gubernatorial race, Governor Ademola Adeleke has publicly renewed his political backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Addressing journalists shortly after being declared the winner by electoral officers, Adeleke hailed President Tinubu as a “son of Osun State” and commended his administration’s commitment to maintaining democratic integrity during the state elections.
Cross-party support and political realignment
Despite contesting and winning his second term under the Accord Party banner after leaving the PDP, Adeleke emphasised that national development transcends political affiliations.
He acknowledged receiving a personal phone call from President Tinubu earlier in the day to congratulate him on his triumph.
