Actress Temitope Osoba died at Ikorodu police station, her fiancé alleges

In a startling revelation regarding the passing of 40-year-old Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, has disclosed that the movie star died at a police station in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

Speaking in an interview with Celestial Reality Check on Saturday, Onadeko countered widespread online speculation that Osoba succumbed to complications from breast cancer or depression stemming from family conflict.

According to Onadeko, who serves as the Shepherd-in-charge of CCC Onibuore Cathedral in Ibeju-Lekki, he received news of her death from an unknown caller around midnight.

“It was a random person that called me around 12 am that she died in a police station in Ikorodu,” Onadeko stated, adding that while he did not know the exact station where she died, he voluntarily reported to a nearby police post.

He explained that prior to the incident, Osoba had traveled to visit one Mrs. Kehinde Osoba alongside a hairdresser with whom she was staying.

Fiancé addresses medical fund misuse and abuse allegations

Addressing severe accusations circulating on social media, Prophet Onadeko refuted claims that he misappropriated money donated for the actress’s cancer surgery to develop his church.

He clarified that all medical donations—including a check from billionaire businessman Mike Adenuga—were deposited directly into Osoba’s personal bank account, to which he had no access.

He added that his church structure had already been completed long before he met the actress two years prior.

Onadeko also dismissed rumours that the actress was poisoned, denied allegations of physical abuse, and clarified that she was never restricted from using her personal car.

Late actress’s final days and family friction

While acknowledging Osoba’s previous battle with breast cancer and her subsequent surgery at Evacare Hospital, Onadeko maintained that the illness was not what took her life.

He also revealed that she struggled with a smoking habit that he had been encouraging her to quit.

Onadeko shared that Osoba had left his church approximately three weeks before her passing.

Following the news of her death, he attempted to reach out to her maternal family—with whom she had a strained relationship—but was rebuffed by her uncle, whom he identified as Taiwo.

The sudden passing of the actress has left fans and the Nigerian film industry in mourning as details around her final hours continue to unfold.
