“Don’t ever say my wife looks like Bobrisky” — Gehgeh warns critics after ‘wedding’ backlash
Self-proclaimed men’s advisor and social media commentator, Emmanuel Obruste, widely known as Gehgeh, has issued a public warning asking social media users to stop insulting his ‘wife’s physical appearance.
The confrontation follows the influencer’s recent alleged wedding over the weekend, which sparked significant backlash among his online followers.
Many criticised him for getting married despite his previous content advising men against marriage and labelling relationships as unfavourable for men.
In response to his marriage announcements, several followers began targeting his ‘wife’ with harsh comments online.
Reacting on his official social media platform, Gehgeh warned users to keep his ‘wife’ out of the online feud.
“I can take everything y’all are saying to me, but don’t ever say my wife looks like Bobrisky. Shuur,” he wrote.
Backlash intensifies online
Despite his warning, the post prompted further critical replies, with several users continuing to post derogatory remarks about his ‘wife’ and to question his consistency as a relationship coach.
Earlier in the week, Gehgeh attempted to defend himself by challenging followers to produce proof where he explicitly instructed men never to get married.
In response, social media users flooded his comment section with archived video clips and past posts showing him advising young men against entering marital contracts and warning them about the financial risks of wedlock.
Microsecondnews’ investigation, however, showed that the clips making the rounds on social media were from a movie shoot.
The controversial media personality played a lead role in the movie featuring some notable Nollywood stars.
