Actress Iyabo Ojo attributes her youthful glow to regular intimacy

Renowned Nollywood actress and box office producer, Iyabo Ojo, has left fans talking after opening up about the unorthodox secret behind her vibrant, youthful appearance.
Featuring as a guest on broadcast journalist Morayo Afolabi-Brown’s popular program, The Morayo Show, the 48-year-old mother of two bypassed conventional skincare routines to highlight intimacy as the ultimate key to a woman’s radiance.
“Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow”
When questioned about how she maintains her flawless appearance despite the demanding nature of the film industry, the actress stated that a fulfilling intimate life outshines traditional cosmetics.
According to her, the source of a woman’s happiness and physical radiance isn’t necessarily determined by whether she is single or married, but rather by the quality of her relationship.
“We [single mothers] are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married. I think it’s about the person that you’re with. Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough. Maybe those with marriage certificates aren’t getting enough.”
The actress further opened up about her current relationship with talent manager Paul “Paul O” Okoye.
She described their bond as mature, acknowledging that while they experience normal relationship highs and lows, their mutual respect and understanding keep them grounded and happy.
Overcoming single motherhood stigma and stepping back from controversy
Reflecting on her life journey, the actress expressed immense satisfaction with how she successfully navigated the societal stigma frequently associated with single motherhood in Nigeria.
Pointing to her thriving career and her children’s milestones, she described her achievements as deeply fulfilling.
However, viewers noticed a distinct shift in her demeanour, which she attributed to a major transition in her family life: becoming a grandmother.
The screen diva confessed that the arrival of her grandson has naturally tamed her highly vocal stance on social media controversies.
“It makes me feel good, happy, and fulfilled. I have piped down because of my grandson now,” she explained.
“My daughter is married, so when I keep fighting, the opposite side is going to come up with different false allegations, and I don’t want her going through any stress. But if the need arises for me to speak up, then I will.”
Redefining satisfaction at 48
Having made her acting debut nearly three decades ago in the 1998 classic Satanic, Iyabo Ojo continues to break boundaries. Her recent cinematic offering, The Return of Arinzo, continues to dominate the box office globally, grossing hundreds of millions of naira.
For the veteran actress, true beauty appears to be an inside job—fueled by professional victory, a peaceful family life, and a deeply satisfying relationship.
