A young woman has sparked intense debate across social media after sharing a heartbreaking account of how her marriage crumbled years after she abandoned her first love—the man who financially sponsored her university education.
The South African woman shared her story in a viral video caption, detailing a trajectory of choices that ultimately led to deep personal regret.
Sacrificing loyalty for “my type”
According to the emotional post, the woman’s first boyfriend bore the financial burden of her tertiary education, standing by her and funding her expenses until she successfully graduated.
However, the dynamics of the relationship shifted drastically once she entered the workforce.
Upon securing a job, the lady met another man who she claimed fit the description of her “ideal type.” She began a relationship with him, cheating on her benefactor.
When her first boyfriend discovered the infidelity, he chose not to create a scene or demand a refund. Instead, he quietly walked away from the relationship in silence.
Karma comes calling quickly
Free to pursue her “type,” the woman eventually married the new man. The union lasted for over three years and produced two children. However, the domestic bliss she anticipated quickly gave way to severe marital distress.
The lady revealed that she spent the better part of the three-year marriage fighting off an endless stream of side chicks.
The breaking point arrived when her husband flatly informed her of his decision to take a second wife.
“He took me to school until I graduated. I got a job and met my type. He found out and walked away in silence. My type married me, we have 2 kids. After 3 years of fighting with his side chicks, he finally told me that he is marrying another woman. It’s up to me if I want to stay or leave.”, she wrote
Leaving her with a brutal ultimatum, the husband stated that it was entirely up to her to either accept the new polygamous arrangement or pack her bags and leave the marriage.
