The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into grief following reports of the death of veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Okoye, widely recognized by fans as “Energy.”
According to reports, the actor passed away in the early hours of Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Aside from his long-standing career in Nollywood, Patrick Okoye was also reportedly a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
News of his death surfaced after a post appeared on his official Instagram page at about 11 a.m.
The post featured a photograph of the late actor accompanied by the message, “Rest in peace legend.”
