A viral video has captured the pleas of a wife whose mechanic husband allegedly committed suicide in the bedroom of a client in a location called Agodo.

It is not clear if it is Agodo-Egbe, near Ikotun in Lagos State, or Agodo Town, near Ewekoro, Ogun State.

The distressed woman tearfully called on Nigerians to come to her rescue and probe the death of her husband.

According to her lamentation in the video, her husband was called to come and fix a faulty vehicle by a client whose name she mentioned in the video.

The distraught wife said the next thing was that she received a call that her husband had committed suicide in the house of his client.

The woman, upon getting there, found her husband with his neck tied to the burglar-proof iron bar in the only window in the room, with both his legs on the floor.

From the look of things, it is a bedroom, as there is a huge bed in the room and also a dressing mirror in a corner of the room.

She immediately filmed the scene, openly expressing her disagreement with the information she was given that her husband had killed himself.

“It is a lie. Is this how someone who committed suicide appears? It is a lie. They murdered him,” she cried in Yoruba.

The bereaved woman called on prominent Nigerians and human rights activists to come to her aid and bring the killers of her husband to justice.

The video has continued to generate reactions, with many Nigerians expressing incredulity that a man could leave his own home to go and commit suicide in the bedroom of another man.

Many also queried how possible it was for a man to hang himself when both his legs were still on the ground.

The full details of the victim and suspects were not provided in the viral video, and there is yet no official reaction from the police at the time of filing this report.
