Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo dies days before 43rd birthday

Popular Ghanaian actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo has reportedly passed away just four days before her birthday, sparking shock across the entertainment industry.
Her husband, Eugene Kwadwo Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster of the Hiplife group Praye, confirmed her death in a post shared on social media on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
In his emotional tribute, he described the late actress as the centre of his life and expressed deep grief over her sudden passing.
“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo,” he wrote.
He added that her birthday was only days away, reflecting on the painful timing of her passing.
“It would have been just like four more days to your birthday, but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you, so He called you,” he said.
The grieving husband also described Afaglo as his strength and constant source of happiness, noting that life now felt incomplete without her.
“You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever,” he added.
He further said he could still “hear her voice,” describing her as his “number one fan” and promising to continue the plans they had started together.
Praye member Praye Tietia also confirmed the actress’s passing in an interview, noting that she had been unwell for several weeks prior to her death, with hopes of recovery at the time.
He added that the family is expected to release an official statement in due course.
