Popular relationship therapist and social media personality Blessing CEO has been arraigned before a Federal High Court in Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged fraud involving ₦36 million.

She appeared before Justice D.I. Dipeolu at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi on Friday, May 15, 2026, facing a two-count charge bordering on alleged fraud and stealing connected to a property transaction in Lekki, Lagos State.

Allegations over Lekki property deal

According to the EFCC, Blessing CEO allegedly received ₦36 million from one Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye between July 14 and 17, 2024, claiming the funds were meant for leasing a six-bedroom detached duplex in the Lekki area.

The anti-graft agency, however, alleges that the transaction was fraudulent.

Defence claims partial refund

During proceedings, her counsel reportedly informed the court that ₦24 million had already been refunded to the complainant and requested time to settle the outstanding balance.

However, EFCC counsel opposed the request, maintaining that the matter was criminal in nature and must proceed to a full trial.

Court order and next hearing

Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to the charges and was subsequently ordered to remain in EFCC custody pending further investigation.

The court adjourned the matter to June 5, 2026, for the commencement of the trial.
