‘Ask your lover to pay your tuition’, UK-based man stops funding wife’s education after alleged infidelity
A UK-based Nigerian man, identified as Ugo on X, has publicly called out his wife for cheating, vowing to discontinue her education sponsorship.
He took to X to write:
“It’s crazy you’re in my house, sleeping with another man, but I’m in London working my ass out to pay your f*cking school fees in GBP?? No! Send your tuition to that man. He’s man enough to sleep with another man’s wife, he should match it with his funds. Divorce finalised, gtf!!”
He later followed up with another tweet:
“Because her family didn’t see any wrong in it, but have the audacity to ask me about her tuition. Also I know the man and his stupid ass is on my Instagram and X viewing my posts. Talmbout, “I miss you, when am I seeing you again?” while she responds, “as you should” Toh!
Ugo’s first tweet quickly garnered over 1.6 million views, generating intense debate online, especially among Nigerians in the UK.
However, the controversy took another turn after another X user, with the handle @Iamafanpageee, publicly defended the woman and questioned Ugo’s claims.
She tweeted:
“You deleted the tweet because you know you are a serial cheat, we that know you from Ikotun know how you sleep around with your staffs even before you travelled to the UK and after marrying your wife.
Even when you were in a serious relationship with her, you were busy asking my friends and I out at the same time with your useless money. This babe left her law degree, her family and friends and married you and relocated to the UK to start her life with you.
“She got pregnant for you immediately after relocating to the UK. You all came back to Nigeria to do the white wedding, and both travelled back. You left her in the UK while she was pregnant all by herself, and came to Nigeria, sleeping around like a dog.
“Today, you are posting one girl’s arm, tomorrow, you are posting another girl’s leg on your page, while the woman carrying your child is all by herself in the UK, with how tough UK life is.
“You are so deceptive and pretentious, Nigerians are so gullible to believe everything without hearing from the other party. How about you remove the speck in your eyes first. HYPOCRITE!!!!”
The intervention was, however, taken with huge suspicion by netizens, who wondered why the X handle had no picture and was only created in May.
A netizen screen-grabbed the account and posted it, showing that it was created in the UK in May.
Many netizens accused the wife of using the faceless account to respond to the serious allegations raised by her husband.
They asked her to use her proper account to respond to the allegations to enable them to form an opinion on who is right and who is wrong.
The account has since been deleted.
