A young woman abducted in the Kasuwan Magani area of Kaduna State has regained her freedom after spending about five months in captivity, only to be discovered pregnant upon her return.
The development was shared by journalist Reuben Buhari, who disclosed that the victim was released two days ago after a ransom was paid.
According to the report, the woman was kidnapped by armed bandits alongside others while attending to her ailing in their home.
During her time in captivity, she reportedly endured severe hardship, including hunger, illness, and repeated physical abuse while being held in a forest.
Following her release, she was taken to a hospital for urgent medical care, where doctors confirmed she was pregnant as a result of the abuse she suffered.
Further details indicate that her health condition has delayed immediate medical decisions, as she requires stabilisation, including a blood transfusion, due to weakness. She was also said to have suffered physical strain, including swollen feet, after reportedly spending months without proper footwear.
