“I begged you for sex” — Actress Evan Okoro’s leaked chats expose troubled marriage
Fresh controversy has trailed Nollywood actress Evan Okoro after private chats between her and her estranged husband surfaced online, revealing intimate details of their short-lived union.
The conversations, reportedly shared by the actress on her Facebook page, paint a picture of emotional distress, neglect, and alleged betrayal just two weeks after their marriage in April 2025.
In the leaked exchanges, Okoro expressed frustration over what she described as a lack of affection and intimacy from her husband.
She allegedly revealed that she often had to beg him for intimacy, but brazenly went out to sleep with another woman.
She questioned why he chose to marry her when she seemingly was not attractive to him.
“Do you think no man was coming for my hand in marriage? I chose you because my heart accepted you, not knowing that I’m nothing to you,” she wrote in one of the messages.
Despite the allegations, her husband, in the same conversation, denied being unfaithful and issued an apology.
He maintained that he had not cheated and even offered to swear an oath to prove his innocence.
“I can never cheat on you… I have not been eating since yesterday because of what happened. I’m not feeling fine,” he said.
Okoro responded to the message with disbelief. She claimed she went out barefooted with tears in her eyes to beg her husband to come back into the house, but he ignored her.
She further claimed that her estranged husband then proceeded to spend the entire night with the said woman, while she cried alone at home.
The actress said this was enough evidence that he had absolutely no regard for her.
It would be recalled that the couple had a colourful traditional ceremony on April 13, 2025, in the actress’s hometown.
As of now, neither party has issued an official statement beyond the leaked chats circulating on social media.
