A dramatic scene unfolded at a funeral in Veracruz, Mexico, after two women reportedly discovered they had both been romantically involved with the deceased—sparking a physical altercation right over his coffin.
The bizarre incident, which has since gone viral on social media, was said to have occurred during the wake of the man, described as a suspected two-timer.
According to reports by The Sun, tension began when one of the women leaned toward the casket and whispered emotionally, “Love, I’m going to miss you.”
Her statement reportedly raised suspicion from another woman present at the funeral, who soon realised they had both been involved with the deceased.
Fight breaks out at coffin
Eyewitnesses said the confrontation quickly escalated into a physical fight, with both women climbing over the coffin as they exchanged blows.
In the now-viral video, the pair are seen tussling aggressively, dislodging the lid of the casket in the process, while shocked mourners screamed and attempted to intervene.
At one point during the scuffle, one of the women grabbed a bouquet of funeral lilies, only for the other to try to snatch it back, further intensifying the chaos.
Attempts to restore order
The situation was eventually brought under control when a mourner dressed in black stepped in and pulled one of the women away, helping to separate the pair.
The disruption reportedly left other attendees stunned, turning what was meant to be a solemn farewell into a chaotic spectacle.
The identity of the deceased and the women involved has not been officially disclosed.
