A man in Benue State has reportedly been thrown into emotional turmoil after catching his heavily pregnant wife in bed with another man.
The development, which has sparked widespread reactions online, was said to have occurred after the man began hearing persistent rumours from neighbours about his wife’s alleged infidelity.
According to accounts circulating online, the man initially dismissed the claims, insisting he trusted his wife despite repeated whispers within the community.
However, he later decided to verify the allegations following continued reports.
“I had been hearing rumours about my pregnant wife sleeping with another man. I didn’t believe it at first, but when the stories persisted, I decided to investigate,” he was quoted as saying.
The man reportedly set a trap that ended up catching his wife and her side dude in her matrimonial home.
“Lo and behold, what my neighbours had been saying turned out to be true. I still cannot believe that my wife would do this to me. Even while pregnant, she still went ahead with the affair,” he lamented.
He added that he has been struggling to process the incident, expressing confusion and emotional distress over the situation.
Community members paraded the pregnant woman and her lover around the village in their underwear.
Some commented that the relationship must have been long-standing, citing the fact that the woman and her lover were wearing matching underwear.
