A Nigerian woman, Ann Shogunro has sparked widespread reactions online after sharing details of her first night with her husband, revealing how the experience led them to seek help at a pharmacy.
The woman, identified by her X handle @AnnSogunro, made her post apparently to comfort a woman who had a difficult first night with her husband.
Shogunro disclosed that both she and her husband had no prior intimate experience before their wedding night.
According to her, their initial attempt at intimacy was unsuccessful, as the man could not penetrate, prompting them to visit a pharmacy the following day for guidance.
Recounting the encounter, she said the pharmacist asked both of them personal questions before offering advice.
“He looked at the both of us, then asked me, ‘Madam, have you had sex before?’ I said no. He turned to my husband, ‘Oga, what about you?’ He said no too. That was how the man sat us down and began giving lectures and steps,” she wrote.
She explained that after following the instructions provided, things improved significantly.
In what has since drawn mixed reactions, the woman revealed that she and her husband stayed indoors for about a week after resolving the issue.
“Our landlord would come and knock and tell us to come out and receive fresh air, but we refused. When we finally had enough, we came out by ourselves. Most times it is normal,” she added.
Her post has since gone viral, with many social media users expressing surprise, amusement, and curiosity over the couple’s experience.
While some commenters found the story humorous, others noted that it highlighted the importance of proper education and communication for newly married couples.
