Deborah Mbara has alleged that social media personality, Blessing CEO, deceived her into handing over a sensitive medical report under false pretences.

Mbara made the claim during an interview with popular blogger, Linda Ikeji, where she opened up on the controversy surrounding her health status and her dealings with Blessing CEO.

According to her, she met Blessing CEO when she worked as a make-up artist on a project that involved the social media personality.

She shared a clip of the two of them together at the event.

Mbara said she was heartbroken to see on social media that Blessing was crying and claiming that she had just been diagnosed with stage four cancer.

She further recalled that one of her friends then called Blessing to console her and reassure her there was still hope.

Mbara said the friend reminded her of her (Mbara’s) case, saying that she would link them up so that the two of them could discuss.

She recalled that she later chatted over the phone with Blessing, advising her to go for her medicals and turn to prayer for healing.

The cancer survivor recalled that it was during the call that Blessing requested her medical report under the guise of seeking clarification and professional comparison.

“She told me she wanted to compare my report with the one her own doctor gave her,” Mbara said during the interview. “I had no reason to doubt her intentions at the time.”

Mbara, however, alleged that the situation took an unexpected turn after she handed over the document, claiming that the report was subsequently used in a manner she did not consent to.

While recounting her experience, Mbara expressed regret over what she described as misplaced trust, noting that she felt misled by the approach adopted by Blessing CEO.

“I didn’t know it would turn into something else entirely. If I had known, I wouldn’t have shared it,” she said.

Mbara said Blessing has since reached out to her family to apologise, adding that she personally did not attend the meeting because she was traumatised.

She said her husband told her to go on social media to apologise to the members of the public she had misled into giving her money.

It would be recalled that Blessing CEO first came into major limelight after she posed with someone’s house and subsequently posted photos and videos claiming the house belonged to him.

The owner of the house later saw the viral video and photos and instigated her arrest and media parade, where she confesed that she lied to mislead the public.

As of the time of filing this report, Blessing CEO had yet to publicly respond to the allegations raised by Mbara in the interview.
