A newly married Nigerian woman, Omeneke Zuwaira, has responded strongly to critics who mocked her over her husband’s age, insisting that she remains committed to her marriage regardless of public opinion.

Zuwaira came under attack on social media after a Facebook user, Hafsat Hannah, shared her wedding photo and alleged that she married an older man for financial reasons.

The post, which quickly gained traction online, claimed that the bride accepted N500,000 to marry a man who, according to the critic, would be unable to satisfy her in the bedroom.

Reacting to the comments, Zuwaira dismissed the claims and defended her husband, describing him as caring and worthy of admiration.

Sharing additional photos of herself and her spouse, the bride expressed gratitude for the success of her wedding ceremony and reaffirmed her love for her partner.

“Alhamdulillah. My wedding was a huge success. All thanks to my darling, caring husband. This is what we call husband material,” she wrote.

She added, “Even if he is a 150-year-old man, I’m okay with it.”

Her response has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some users applauding her for standing by her husband, while others continued to question the circumstances surrounding the union.
