A Ghanaian cleric, identified as Rev. Michael Kofi Appiah, has been found lifeless in a guest house in Takoradi, Ghana, following an evening outing with a female congregant.

Rev. Appiah was the founder and head of Light of Faith Ministry during his lifetime.

Early reports suggest that he checked into the guest house late at night in the company of the congregant believed to be both a university student and a married member of his church.

According to sources, the pair reportedly arrived at the facility at about 10:00 p.m., where they ordered refreshments before proceeding to their room.

Concerns were raised hours later when the pastor became unresponsive. Staff at the facility reportedly alerted authorities immediately after the discovery.

The woman who accompanied him is now central to the investigation. While her exact involvement remains uncertain, officials are interrogating her as part of efforts to determine what led to the pastor’s death.

The incident has generated intense public debate, largely due to the cleric’s role as a religious leader known for promoting moral discipline among his followers.

Authorities have not yet established the cause of death. However, medical examinations, including an autopsy, are expected to provide more insight in the coming days.
