Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Hospital has said that the video of a patient, believed to be the late Jessica Elena, screaming during a cosmetic procedure, was not recorded at its facility.
The hospital issued the clarification amid public scrutiny following the reported death of Jessica Elena, who allegedly died after developing complications linked to a cosmetic procedure.
In a statement posted on its official Instagram page, Instagram (@cynosureaestheticsng), the hospital said it was aware of the disturbing footage widely shared online but insisted that the procedure captured in the video did not take place at its clinic.
According to the hospital’s management, although it had earlier confirmed performing reconstructive surgery on Elena, it has no knowledge of where the procedure shown in the viral clip occurred.
The management also expressed concern over the continued circulation of the video, noting that it could worsen the grief being experienced by the deceased’s family.
The hospital urged members of the public and social media users to exercise compassion and sensitivity while discussing the case, particularly given the emotional impact on Elena’s loved ones.
It would be recalled that a distressing video circulated widely online, showing the last moments of the late socialite, Jessica Elena.
The video reportedly showed the decay of her posterior following a botched BBL surgery that developed complications.
The late Jessica can be heard screaming as some people were helping her to treat the decaying part of her body.
Many netizens assumed the recording took place at Cynosure, considering that the hospital conducted the BBL procedure on the late socialite.
Many negative comments were posted by netizens following the upload of the video on social media. Some people linked the incident to past botched surgical procedures allegedly carried out by the same Cynosure in the past.
Meanwhile, tributes have continued to roll in for the late socialite and TikToker. She was described as a pleasant person whose presence made people feel happy.
