A man has reportedly been killed by suspected kidnappers who invaded his home in Delta State on Friday, March 6, 2026.

The incident happened in Umuchime Community, located behind Charly Boy area near Fuji Okpanam.

Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu disclosed the incident while recounting the circumstances surrounding the attack.

According to him, the victim lived in a relatively isolated location and was returning home around 8 p.m. when the assailants, who had allegedly been following him, attempted to enter the compound with him as he drove in.

Gwamnishu explained that the man’s security dog sprang into action and was shot dead by the attackers before they abducted the homeowner.

He said the man was later murdered and his body was reportedly dumped behind his residence.

While sharing the account, the activist urged people living in secluded areas to take extra security precautions.

He advised residents to regularly clear bushes and tall grasses around their homes to prevent criminals from using them as hiding places.

He also recommended that homeowners in such locations install gates that shield their compounds from the view of passersby in order to enhance safety.
