A man, David Adebayo Emmanuel, who recently survived an armed robbery attack in Minna, Niger State, has shared an emotional testimony in church about how he confronted the attackers moments after leaving a bank.

It would be recalled that Emmanuel went viral recently after he put up a fight when armed robbers attacked him and collected his money.

Speaking during a service at the church of Nigerian cleric Johnson Suleman, the man recounted how he was robbed of ₦9 million on Friday shortly after completing a bank transaction.

According to him, the robbers accosted him immediately after he left the bank and forcefully took the money from him. However, he said the situation took an unexpected turn as he began praying in tongues. Incidentally, he was observing a fast that day.

The man explained that while praying in tongues, he suddenly found the courage to challenge the attackers. He said he managed to grab one of their guns and began firing at them, even though he had never handled a firearm before.

He further claimed that the robbers also fired shots at him during the confrontation, but the bullets did not hit him.

Recounting the dramatic moment, he said he later stood in front of the robbers’ vehicle and declared that it would not move.

According to him, when the attackers tried to start the car to escape, it refused to move, an event he described as divine intervention.

“Immediately I left the bank, armed robbers attacked me and collected my ₦9 million. I started praying in tongues even though I was fasting that day,” he said.

“God gave me the courage to grab one of their guns and I started shooting back at them. They were also shooting at me but the bullets didn’t penetrate me.”

He added that he moved in front of the vehicle the robbers were using and declared that it would not move unless he was not serving God.

The testimony has since drawn reactions online as many people reacted to the dramatic account of the encounter.
