Lady ruins her mother’s marriage after inviting her absent dad to walk her down the aisle on wedding day

A woman has taken to social media to narrate how her decision to let her biological father hand her over to her groom on her wedding day destroyed her mother’s marriage.

The American lady tried to justify why she opted for her biological father, although her stepfather had always been good to her since childhood.

According to her, the stepdad sponsored her education and even provided a car for her to shuttle from home to her place of employment after college.

She said the suggestion to involve her biological father in her wedding plans came from her fiance, now husband, and she also reasoned that it would be unfair to shut him out of such an important day that could not be repeated.

The American lady said she disclosed her plan to her mother, who endorsed it, but the idea was not well-received by the stepfather.

The stepfather reportedly withdrew his earlier support for the wedding and opted out of his earlier promise to finance the ceremony.

The lady said they went ahead regardless and stressed that she had no regret bringing her biological father back into her life.

She also stressed that she had no intention of disrespecting her stepdad, but she expected him to understand that she could not completely shut out her biological father from such an important day in her life.

 The disagreement has since created tension within the family. The woman claimed the dispute contributed to a breakdown in her parents’ relationship, adding that her stepfather has now separated from her mother.

Netizens have been attacking her, calling her selfish, entitled and ungrateful.

Despite criticism from some social media users, she maintained that she stands by her decision, saying she only wanted to share a meaningful moment with her biological father on her wedding day.
