A Ghanaian choir mistress has accused a well-known male gospel singer, Hayford Bonsu, popularly called Wonder Boy, of failing to keep promises he made to her following a private relationship.
The lady went on a live radio programme, Sompa Nkomo on Sompa FM, to spill the beans. She named the gospel artiste on air and challenged him to debunk her claims.
According to the choir mistress, she first obtained the worship leader’s phone number during a live television broadcast.
She said she later contacted him to seek mentorship and support for her music career, as she is also involved in gospel singing.
She alleged that their communication progressed into a personal relationship, during which the worship leader purportedly assured her of professional collaboration and assistance in advancing her career.
While speaking on the programme, the woman further claimed that he later invited her to a guest house, where they met privately on two occasions.
She stated that despite earlier assurances, he has not honoured the commitments she says were made before the encounter.
The choir mistress also alleged that the singer leveraged his standing within the gospel music community to win her confidence.
Wonder Boy is yet to react to the allegation, which has continued to generate wide reactions in Christian circles in Ghana.
