Actress Omo Local recounts how she took poison when her hubby impregnated her best friend
Victoria Ajibola, popularly known as Omo Local in Nollywood, has disclosed that she ended her marriage after discovering that her best friend was pregnant with her husband’s child while she was also expecting a child.
The actress shared the experience during a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, saying the situation left her deeply distressed because of the betrayal by people she trusted.
Ajibola explained that she was five months pregnant when she learned that her best friend was three months pregnant with her husband’s child.
She said the emotional shock and sense of shame made her extremely overwhelmed, and she attempted to end it all by ingesting poison.
“I was five months pregnant, and my best friend was also three months pregnant for my husband. The trauma was so much,” she said, adding that she later received help after experiencing severe emotional distress.
The actress did not provide details about the current location of her former friend but suggested that the woman may have continued her relationship with her ex-husband.
She also claimed that her ex-husband and the friend later had three children together after she left the marriage.
The interview has drawn public attention, with many social media users reacting to the story and discussing issues of trust and relationship fidelity.
Mental health advocates have used the opportunity to remind the public that emotional trauma can be serious and that people facing distress should seek support from trusted individuals, family members, or professionals rather than act in isolation.
