A video circulating on social media captures a tense moment aboard a commercial flight after a Nigerian passenger was accused of taking a bag of cash said to belong to a Caucasian traveller.
The clip, originally shared by a Nigerian TikTok user, shows the foreign passenger expressing concern after reportedly discovering that a bag containing money he had placed in the overhead compartment was missing.
According to the footage, suspicion quickly fell on a fellow passenger seated nearby. The video shows the owner of the bag asking the accused man to stand while he conducted a search in an attempt to locate the missing item.
Tensions escalated when a Nigerian woman seated close to the suspect openly confronted him. She alleged that she had witnessed him move the bag and push it beneath his seat.
“How did the bag get under your seat? I saw when you picked that bag. Don’t be giving us a bad name. It is unacceptable! How did the bag of money get under your seat?” she said in the video.
Other passengers on the flight were heard criticising the alleged act and calling for the matter to be addressed by authorities upon landing.
The incident has since sparked reactions online, with many social media users debating the conduct captured in the trending video.
