Popular Nigerian gospel musician, Taiwo Adegbodu, widely known by his stage name SirTee, has reportedly passed away.

News of his death surfaced on Facebook, where posts indicated that the gospel minister—who was a twin—died in the early hours of Sunday.

The announcement has left fans and supporters stunned.

A Facebook page dedicated to the twin brothers also confirmed the development, sharing an emotional tribute that quickly gained traction online. The message expressed deep anguish over his sudden passing and the pain of losing him without prior notice.

Following the announcement, social media platforms were flooded with condolence messages, as admirers and well-wishers offered prayers and words of comfort to his family. Several fellow gospel musicians also paid tribute, acknowledging his contributions to the faith-based music community.

His death comes months after the passing of another gospel singer, Bunmi Akinaanu, popularly known as Omije Ojumi, who reportedly died after battling an illness that began in 2025.

Renowned for combining traditional gospel elements with contemporary sounds, Adegbodu built a following within Nigeria’s gospel music scene.

His death is being described by many as a significant loss to the industry.
