An irate woman has allegedly stabbed a 16-year-old boy after the minor corrected her child in their compound in Ejigbo, Lagos.

The incident was shared on X (Twitter) by a user named Febechi with the handle,  @Febsbaby_. Febechi claimed the victim is her younger brother.

According to her,  trouble started when the teenager scolded the accused lady’s child for playing outside for too long. He reportedly told her to go inside the compound.

Febechi recounted that the child reported the matter to the mother, who came out in annoyance to confront the teenager.

In the process, she reportedly broke a bottle and stabbed the minor on the face and other parts of his body, including his arm, chest and back.

When the mother of the 16-year-old boy tried to intervene, she was also reportedly stabbed in multiple places.

Photos of the bloodied teenager are currently circulating online.

Febechi said the teenager and his mother were rushed to the hospital, while the assailant was still walking free at the time of reporting the incident last night.

She claimed that the police in Ejigbo, where the matter was reported, claimed it was too late to make any arrest. They reportedly promised to act in the morning.

Febechi tagged the Nigeria Police Force (@PoliceNG) and Lagos Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (@Lagosdsva), asking for assistance and justice for the injured teenager.

Responding to a question on why the boy did not defend himself or at least run away, Febech said the boy was gentle and was not street-smart.

“He’s 16, and he’s a very gentle kid… he hardly gets into trouble normally, so he was confused that someone could come at him with this level of violence. You can help. Please reach out to me. Please.”

When someone inquired about the husband of the accused woman, Febechi disclosed that he approached the boy’s father to beg for forgiveness on behalf of his wife.

“His father (who, btw, is my older cousin), denied him audience and said let him finish treating his child and they’ll speak via the appropriate authorities”.

Febechi announced that she was on her way to the scene of the incident this morning, as she lived in Apapa and could not visit yesterday.

She is yet to provide an update as to the condition of the victims and whether the police have been able to arrest the culprit.
