A Nigerian woman has stirred widespread reactions on social media after making a troubling allegation about the activities of suspected kidnappers in Ekiti State.

In a video that has since gone viral, the woman claimed that a kidnapping incident in the state took a gruesome turn when the abducted victim was reportedly killed.

She further alleged that the kidnappers demanded payment before releasing the deceased’s body.

According to her narration, the situation allegedly worsened when the four men who volunteered to drop the ransom, beer and cannabis sativa (indian hemp) were also seized.

She claimed that the kidnappers are now asking that virgins should be sent to them before they would release the abducted men.

Speaking emotionally in the video, she questioned the rationale behind negotiating with criminal groups.

Visibly angered, she condemned the state of insecurity in the country, expressing frustration over what she described as a worsening crisis.

Reacting to the claims, a user identified as Tochi (Nfunaala) (@TochiPN) wrote, “The south west is gone. Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo has been penetrated. What’s left is Ogun and Lagos.”

Another user, Adelaf (@adelaf4me), said, “I can’t believe it that these people are gradually penetrating the south west.”

Duke (@ChkwkSnny) appeared to criticise the authorities, writing, “Nigerian government as usual :”

Paul (@chrismiles78) also weighed in, making a sarcastic remark suggesting that criminals were seeking to claim their “rewards” on earth rather than waiting, adding that it was a situation requiring decisive government intervention.

Similarly, Ifee (@IfeeUTD), described as a commentary account, lamented, “It gets darker everyday in Nigeria.”

While many commenters called for urgent action from security agencies, others urged caution and stressed the need to verify the claims to avoid spreading unconfirmed reports.
