A Nigerian woman, Chisom, has taken to social media to allege that she was bitten by a male passenger while travelling on a public bus locally called ‘danfo’ in Lagos.

In videos posted online, the visibly shaken Chisom, who is a chef, displayed what appeared to be bite marks on her left breast and right shoulder, claiming she was attacked by a man she described as a crazy boy or man during the commute.

She expressed regret over her choice of transportation, saying she should have ordered a ride for her own security.

According to her, she boarded a public bus to her destination, but along the line, got into a situation with a male passenger who viciously attacked her, tearing her T-shirt and biting her in multiple places.

“Don’t enter public bus, don’t enter public. This is the bite mark on my body. I should have booked a ride to where I was going. They bit me like this,” she lamented in the video.

She added that being assaulted in such a manner was something she never imagined experiencing, describing the situation as surreal.

The lady further alleged that although she cried out for help, other passengers failed to intervene.

“Getting attacked by a madman was not on my bucket list for 2026. Lagos is not a real place, this feels unreal. I got bitten and no one came to help me; they just stood and watched,” she said.

The videos have since circulated widely on social media, sparking conversations about commuter safety and public response during emergencies.

While several users expressed sympathy and outrage over the alleged inaction of bystanders, others advised residents to consider alternative transportation options where feasible to reduce exposure to similar risks.
