An overseas-based Nigerian influencer known as Oju Babe has publicly criticised Mirabel following her admission that her earlier sexual assault allegation was fabricated.

In a video that has since circulated widely online, Oju Babe expressed disappointment over the revelation, accusing the young lady of misleading supporters who had rallied around her after the initial claim surfaced.

She argued that false allegations undermine genuine cases of abuse and may contribute to scepticism when real victims come forward.

According to her, such actions can also have serious consequences for individuals who are wrongly accused.

Oju Babe further claimed that financial contributions were made to support the supposed victim of rape after the original allegation gained traction.

She stated that some donors, including herself, sent significant amounts of money in solidarity and now expect refunds.

Calling for accountability, she urged Mirabel to publicly address those who contributed funds and return the donations.

She maintained that consequences are necessary to discourage similar incidents in the future.

The influencer also highlighted the broader implications of fabricated allegations, noting that they can affect public perception and complicate efforts to ensure justice in legitimate cases.

Mirabel’s confession has sparked intense debate on social media, with users divided over issues of responsibility, due process, and the impact of misinformation. While some have echoed calls for refunds and accountability, others have stressed the importance of mental health support and careful handling of sensitive matters.
