Kenyan teen featured in Russian tourist’s clips films herself undergoing HIV test
Vows to release results to prove she is clean

A 19-year-old woman identified as Kalekye, who appeared in widely circulated videos involving Russian national Yaytseslav, whose real name is Vladislav Lyulkov, has gone for an HIV test.
He has vowed to publish the result to convince the public that she was not infected with HIV during her interactions with the controversial tourist.
Yaytseslav has drawn significant attention on social media after several clips showed him approaching women in public places in Kenya and Ghana, engaging them in short conversations before allegedly inviting them to his apartment.
The interactions were reportedly captured using Meta smart glasses, which enabled discreet recording of conversations without the women being fully aware of how the footage might later be used.
Kalekye, who lives in Nairobi, Kenya, acknowledged that she was among the first women Yaytseslav approached during his stay in the country.
However, she maintains that their interaction did not progress beyond an initial conversation.
She recounted that they met by the roadside in March 2025, where he introduced himself, asked about her age, and suggested meeting later that evening.
Although she told him she was 19, exchanged contact details, and initially agreed to meet, she said she later reconsidered.
According to her, she cancelled after he sent her the location of a BnB in Ngara without further discussion, which raised safety concerns. She said that was the last time they communicated.
In an interview with SPM Buzz, Kalekye disclosed that she had already informed her TikTok followers about visiting a clinic for an HIV test.
She said she recorded the entire process, including the consultation and testing kits, and intends to share the footage publicly.
She explained that her decision to release the video is aimed at dispelling rumours and giving herself peace of mind, adding that her test results confirm she is healthy.
