A Nigerian farmer, Paul Yaor, has shared a testimony of gratitude after escaping what he described as a potentially dangerous encounter with a snake on his farmland.
According to his account, the incident occurred on Saturday when he visited his farm to harvest leftover yams.
While working, he reportedly noticed a poisonous snake concealed nearby, which he believes was poised to strike.
In a post shared online, Yaor said he felt fortunate to have spotted the reptile in time. He attributed his awareness and quick reaction to divine protection, expressing relief that the situation did not result in injury.
He explained that he was able to kill the snake before it could attack, adding that the species appeared highly venomous. Reflecting on the close call, he wrote that without noticing the snake early, the outcome might have been tragic.
Yaor concluded his message with thanksgiving, describing the experience as an act of mercy and protection.
