Disturbing video circulates showing abducted women being abused by suspected terrorists
A video circulating widely on social media has sparked outrage after showing four Nigerian women who were reportedly abducted and subjected to abuse by suspected terrorists.
In the footage, the women are seen surrounded by armed men in an unidentified location. One of the assailants is shown striking the captives with a rifle after ordering them to remove their hijabs.
The victims appear distressed and visibly shaken as the assault continues.
At a point in the video, a voice speaking in Hausa is heard urging restraint, but the intervention does not stop the abuse.
The women later appealed for help, collectively begging members of the public to intervene and save their lives.
In emotional pleas, they asked for mercy and assistance, saying they feared for their survival and wanted to regain their freedom.
Throughout the video, the captives could be heard crying and pleading as the assault continued, highlighting the severity of their ordeal.
As of the time of reporting, there is no official information on where the women were abducted or the identity of the group responsible for holding them captive. Nigerian security agencies have not yet released a statement on the footage.
