Outrage as Nigerian man makes disturbing comment on murder of Ugandan TikToker ‘Karichwife’

Public anger has erupted online after a Nigerian man, Samuel Nwosu, made a shocking and disturbing remark in reaction to the murder of popular Ugandan TikToker and businesswoman Namulinde Diana, widely known as Diana Skys or Karichwife.
In a comment that has since gone viral, Nwosu expressed hope that the attackers violated the young woman before killing her — a statement many Nigerians and Ugandans have condemned as inhumane and deeply insensitive.
The late influencer, aged 24, was reportedly found dead in her apartment in Kyanja, a residential area in Uganda’s capital city, Kampala, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

According to initial reports, Diana’s body was discovered after friends became worried when repeated attempts to reach her failed. They reportedly went to check on her and found her lifeless in her home.
Ugandan authorities have described the incident as an aggravated robbery and violent attack, allegedly carried out by unknown assailants who fled the scene after the crime.
Her remains were taken to Mulago City Mortuary, while the Ugandan Police Force (UPF) launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
In a significant development, police have confirmed the arrest of three suspects, including a security guard attached to the premises, as investigations continue.
Public condemnation grows
While many social media users have been mourning the young content creator and calling for justice, Nwosu’s comment has sparked fresh outrage, with users describing it as cruel, misogynistic, and a reflection of the disturbing attitudes some people hold toward violence against women.
Several Nigerians online have distanced themselves from the remark, emphasising that the tragic death of the TikTok star should not be met with jokes, fantasies, or dehumanising statements.
Remembering Karichwife
Before her death, Diana Skys was known for her vibrant TikTok content and entrepreneurial pursuits, steadily building a loyal following across Uganda and beyond.
Fans continue to flood social media with tributes, remembering her as energetic, hardworking, and full of promise.
