A young woman has sparked outrage on social media after posting a video of a man she claims was among the one-chance robbers who kidnapped and molested her during a trip in January 2023 in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Sharing her painful experience on TikTok, the lady, @Millonna, narrated how what was meant to be a simple journey to school turned into a nightmare — one she says she has never received justice for, three years later.

How the ordeal began

According to her, she was travelling from Ijebu-Ode to Anambra State on January 25, 2023, where she was schooling at the time.

After failing to get a direct bus, she first headed to Benin before connecting to another vehicle to Onitsha.

“We arrived in Asaba around 6:30 pm, and there was serious traffic. I was exhausted and decided to spend the night at my aunt’s place in Onitsha instead of continuing to school,” she explained.

She said she was dropped at Upper Iweka and boarded a shuttle bus heading towards Seaman — a common route familiar to residents of Onitsha.

Unknown to her, the vehicle was not a regular commercial bus.

“They were not passengers — They were kidnappers”

The lady revealed that the man seen in the video, alongside three others, was pretending to be a passenger.

She said once the bus drove past her destination, the men began their attack.

“They weren’t passengers. They were kidnappers,” she said emotionally.

“I wasn’t even the only victim that day.”

Though she avoided graphic details, she described the experience as deeply traumatic and said it still haunts her.

“What hurts the most is that I never got justice. It’s been three years now.”

How she recognised one of them

The breakthrough came recently when she signed back into her Snapchat account, which she had not visited since her phone was stolen by the one-chance robbers who kidnapped her.

One of the one-chance robbers/kidnappers appeared to have used the victim’s phone to do a Snapchat recording of himself and his companions in what appeared to be a club or restaurant.

Later, after the victim logged into her Snapchat account on another device, she discovered the videos, which eventually helped her recognise the suspect online.

She decided to expose the alleged one-chance robber online.

Social media reacts

The video has since gone viral, with many Nigerians expressing anger, sympathy, and calling for authorities to investigate and bring the suspect to justice.
