Shocking moment UK police arrest Daniel Odubanjo for molesting two young women in broad daylight

Disturbing footage has captured the dramatic arrest of Daniel Odubanjo, the man who carried out terrifying sexual attacks on two women aboard a moving train in the UK.
Odubanjo targeted the victims during a journey from Shenfield to Chelmsford in Essex on November 29, 2024, turning what should have been a normal trip into a nightmare.
One victim was 21 years old, while the other was just 17.
Trapped in a train toilet and assaulted
According to British Transport Police, the first attack happened after Odubanjo repeatedly banged on a locked train toilet door.
When the woman inside opened it slightly, he forced his way in, locked the door behind them, grabbed her wrists, and assaulted her.
The terrified woman managed to briefly escape and tried to alert another passenger — but Odubanjo dragged her back into the toilet and continued the assault as she screamed for help.
Police said he only stopped when she desperately lied that she was 14 years old, causing him to panic and release her. She fled the train at Chelmsford.
He didn’t stop there
Moments later, Odubanjo sat across from a 17-year-old girl, asking her inappropriate questions before exposing himself.
The teenager moved closer to other passengers for safety — but Odubanjo followed her and assaulted her again.
This time, a brave passenger intervened, pulling him away.
Dramatic arrest caught on video
The train was intercepted by armed officers at Hatfield Peverel station, where Odubanjo was swiftly arrested — a moment now circulating widely online.
The 27-year-old, from Clapham, south London, was later convicted of:
- False imprisonment
- Two counts of sexual assault
He was sentenced to six years in prison at Chelmsford Crown Court in January 2026.
The court also placed him under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, banning him from public transport while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Police condemn “terrifying” attacks
Detective Sergeant Hayley Whyte described the crimes as horrifying.
“Odubanjo preyed on a young woman and a teenage girl in terrifying attacks just minutes apart. Both were left deeply traumatised,” she said.
She also praised the victims for their courage in speaking out.
