A Nigerian man from Gombe State, Musa Elshaarawy, has stirred emotions online after celebrating his marriage to his uncle’s daughter, a young woman he revealed he helped care for when she was still a toddler.
Musa first caught public attention weeks ago when he shared an old photograph taken in 2011, explaining that he was just 12 years old at the time while the little girl, Khadeejerh, was barely two.
According to him, they formed a strong bond whenever she visited his family home with her mother.
“I used to carry her around, play with her, and even save my transport money just to buy her snacks like Choki Choki and cheese balls,” Musa recalled. “Anytime she cried, once I picked her up, she would stop immediately.”
He added that despite how heavy she sometimes felt, he never complained because of how attached they were.
Years later, that childhood connection has now grown into marriage.
Taking to Facebook on Saturday, January 24, Musa shared photos from their wedding ceremony, expressing gratitude to God for how their story unfolded.
“Love always wins. The girl I carried in 2011 has now become my wife. By the grace of Allah, we will grow old together. May God bless our union. Alhamdulillah,” he wrote.
The heartwarming post has since gone viral, drawing mixed but largely congratulatory reactions from social media users who praised the couple’s journey and wished them a happy married life.
