Man who lifted woman’s dress in Nairobi club faces possible sack as feminists storm his US employers’ FB page

Pressure is rapidly mounting on US-based medic James Opande after feminists took their outrage directly to the social media pages of his employer, demanding urgent disciplinary action over a viral video that has sparked widespread condemnation.
It would be recalled that Opande filmed himself groping a young woman, Marion Naipei, in a club in Nairobi.
He went as far as lifting her dress to reveal the woman’s nakedness, as she was not wearing a pair of panties at the time.
Opande uploaded the video on his social media, where it went viral and attracted widespread outrage.
Many netizens accused the US-based medic of violating Naipei’s dignity and privacy. They called for his arrest and deportation.
The campaign has now shifted beyond online criticism, with activists flooding the social media accounts of Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona Inc., the organisation where Opande is reportedly employed, calling for an immediate investigation and possible sanctions.
In coordinated posts and comments, feminists have been tagging Opande’s employer, insisting that the incident cannot be ignored.
They argue that anyone entrusted with care-related responsibilities should be held to the highest moral and professional standards.
Several posts demanded that the US-based nursing home where Opande works publicly address the controversy, stressing that such behaviour, if left unchecked, could undermine public trust in the institution.
As the backlash intensifies, social media users speculate that Opande’s job could be at risk if his employer bows to the growing pressure.
At the time of this report, Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona Inc. has not issued an official statement regarding the matter.
