A resurfaced video allegedly showing what late Afrofuji singer Afeez Adeshina, popularly known as Destiny Boy, vomited shortly before his death has ignited renewed debate across social media, with many Nigerians questioning the circumstances surrounding his passing.

The clip, believed to have originated from an Instagram Live session, has been widely shared on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and Facebook, where users have described the incident as puzzling and unsettling.

Unanswered questions after sudden death

Destiny Boy died at the age of 22, only months after he was said to have welcomed his first child. While news of his death was announced earlier, no official medical cause was disclosed, leaving fans and colleagues in the dark.

Since then, speculation has continued to trail the singer’s demise, with several unverified claims circulating online.

What the trending video shows

The video, reposted by popular blogger Naijaeverything, captures voices believed to be people around the singer during his final moments. In the recording, the speakers are heard discussing events that allegedly occurred shortly before his death.

The conversation in the clip centres on what Destiny Boy may have ingested, a detail that has become the focal point of online discussions and theories.

Allegations raised in the clip

In the audio, those speaking suggest that the singer might have taken a local substance, while others openly speculate that poisoning could not be ruled out. However, there has been no confirmation from medical professionals or authorities to support these claims.

As of the time of this report, no autopsy report or official medical statement has been released to clarify the cause of death.

Fuji stars mentioned in burial claims

Another aspect of the viral clip that has stirred controversy is an allegation that Fuji music veterans, Pasuma and Saheed Osupa, reportedly contacted the family and advised against proceeding with the singer’s burial at the time.

This claim, though unverified, has further intensified public curiosity and suspicion surrounding the circumstances of Destiny Boy’s passing.
