The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has announced the launch of an Inter-Agency Innovation Competition and Awards designed to stimulate creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government.

The initiative aligns with the organisation’s statutory mandate “to develop and maintain a dynamic infrastructure to drive Nigeria’s indigenous industrialisation, job creation, and overall national development.”

By fostering innovation within the public sector, the agency aims to unlock practical, homegrown solutions to critical national challenges.

The competition targets public servants across MDAs and seeks to harness innovative ideas that can drive technological advancements, efficiency, and improved service delivery.

Participants are encouraged to develop science- and technology-driven solutions that address real-world issues across key sectors, including health, agriculture, education, infrastructure, and other priority areas of national development.

According to the organisation, the initiative is part of its broader strategy to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and promote a culture of innovation within government institutions, while also accelerating the adoption of indigenous technologies.

Interested MDAs are invited to submit their innovative proposals through the official portal:
